Job title: Registered X-Ray Technologist

Job description: As a member of a Multidisciplinary Health Care team, co-ordinates, performs and evaluates Diagnostic Services examinations within the specific modalities and disciplines. Guides and directs clinical and technical associates and students in a teaching and research environment and provides patient care within the core values of respect, caring, innovation and accountability. Rotation though other modalities and sites based on qualifications and unit requirements maybe required.

Qualifications

1. Graduate of an approved training program in Radiological Technology.
2. Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario
3. Current BCLS registration
4. Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment
5. Demonstrated effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills
6. Effective problem solving skills, critical thinking and the ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment
7. Evidence of participation in ongoing education and professional development
8. Membership in the CAMRT/OAMRT preferred
9. 3 to 5 years experience preferred
10. Willing to work variety of shifts; days, evenings and weekends including call
11. Complete understanding of Radiation Safety Protection Guidelines
12. Interventional Radiography course preferred, CAMRT 1 & 2, including certificate
