Job title: Registered X-Ray Technologist
Job description: As a member of a Multidisciplinary Health Care team, co-ordinates, performs and evaluates Diagnostic Services examinations within the specific modalities and disciplines. Guides and directs clinical and technical associates and students in a teaching and research environment and provides patient care within the core values of respect, caring innovation and accountability. Rotation through other modalities and sites based on qualifications and unit requirements may be required.
Qualifications
1. Graduate of an approved training program in Radiological Technology
2. Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists
3. Current BCLS registration
4. Minimum 2 years’ experience in HIU required
5. Successful completion of MRT stream of Critical practice orientation and core classes required including passing all required exams.
6. Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment
7. Successful completion of ECG rhythm interpretation course required
8. Demonstrated effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills
9. Effective problem solving skills, critical thinking and the ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment
10. Evidence of participation in on-going education and professional development
