It takes a great team to deliver the environmental projects that clean up our communities and improve our natural resources, and that includes those who coordinate equipment for field workers going into the field.
As a Field Coordinator, you will support our various field programs by performing a variety of tasks including resolving issues and communicating with field staff. Working remotely in Kamloops, you will be assisting with the coordination and movement of people conducting field studies from various locations along with their equipment.
Additionally, you will help with administrative tasks which may include data entry, filing and clerical tasks related to inventory control. You will also be tasked with supporting the tracking and follow-up of equipment and vehicles requested from across Canada. This role will require working independently with the support of a team based out of our Calgary Office along with other satellite locations across Canada to deliver small equipment requests and vehicles to and from various locations and offices, including picking up items from various vendors and suppliers. You will assist with the coordination and movement of people conducting field studies along with their equipment. You will ensure all field staff have equipment, accommodations and transportation that meet legal, regulatory and safety requirements. This position will start as a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension or transfer into full-time position based on workload.
You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service, handling requests by phone and email that often require quick turnarounds. If you’re up for the challenge, we’ve been looking for someone just like you.
If based in British Columbia: The base salary range for this position is $44,100 to $57,825. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across British Columbia, Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- High School Diploma.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Work experience, certification or degree related to inventory management.
- Experience with digital technology including IOS and Android devices, GNSS receivers.
- Experience with water quality equipment including Turbidity Meters, Sondes, Swoffer Meter, Electrofishers.
- Experience with remediation equipment including PID Monitors, Peristaltic Pumps, Water Level Meters.
- Highly organized and detail orientated.
- Experience with MS Office Suite.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds.
- English – Fluent written and verbal (Required).
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
- 2 years or more inventory experience.
- Travel and logistics coordination experience.
- Demonstrated customer service and communication skills.
- Investigation and troubleshooting techniques.
- Basic understanding of field-testing equipment.
- Basic understanding of accounting processes.
