Job description: We are looking for Full time and Part time Security Guards who would be interested in working for our client who specializes in Logistics/Mailing services located at 65 East Cargo Road Mount Hope.
As a security officer, you will primarily be signing in/out all visitors coming to see staff on site and direct the visitor to the main security desk to receive a visitor card. Conduct foot patrols of the facility, checking all man-doors and roll-up doors to be secure. Be highly visible to deter theft, challenge suspicious activity and report any abnormal findings via employee notebook, contact 911 if required. The Hourly Pay Rate is $14.70

What does a Security Guard in Hamilton do?

• Providing uniformed, physical security to our client and its customers/visitors
• Interior and exterior patrols
• Conducting daily functions of the security unit including access control, ensuring all employees are screened in and out of the Sorting area, security escorts, responding to calls for service, report writing/note taking
• Monitoring of the cameras and patrols during down time
• Performing property inspections and enforce property laws, client rules, and other regulations
• Providing customer service information and assist in handling the questions of visitors
• Maintaining a positive, productive work environment through positive teamwork

Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Hamilton?

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Previous experience in the security industry (asset)
• Valid Provincial Security Guard license
• Strong computer skills
• Customer service oriented
• Security clearance reliability
• Must be able to work days / nights and rotating shifts
• Leadership and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a stressful environment
