Digital Transformation at BDC means the integration of digital technologies into all areas of the organization, seeking fundamental changes in how we operate and the value we deliver to Canadian entrepreneurs through omnichannel solutions. We already got started with key business processes, namely how we issue online loans to borrowing entrepreneurs across the country. In the quest of continuous improvement of our ways of working, one of our next steps is the implementation of a value driven approach that will further enable our teams to build and deliver great digital products.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Advisor will actively support and execute on enterprise-wide initiatives by building strong partnerships with key stakeholders to further improve BDC’s strategic initiatives delivery capabilities. Act as a key advisor by providing expertise, based on hands-on experience, in building well-balanced and highly functional multidisciplinary teams.
Ensure a clear understanding and communication of the Digital Transformation vision and help the teams translate this vision in measurable goals that they will own, track and deliver value against. Proactively identify, drive and oversee change opportunities in our approaches within the Transformation and collaborate with the appropriate groups in order to establish scalable and long-lived best practices.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET

Key player in the shift from a project to a product mindset and delivery approach.

Support the transformation office by providing clear, relevant information and accurate analysis in a timely manner and by taking on various responsibilities, as needed.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders in order to increase collaboration and alignment with other initiatives.
–
Provide quality support required to meet the transformation needs and objectives and act as a point of contact for colleagues and project/program managers.
–
Build internal partnerships and become thoroughly familiar with their needs, concerns, and issues and provide feedback to the transformation office with the view to resolve these.
–
Keep abreast of internal/external trends and leading-edge best practices and make recommendations as required.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
–
Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, digital marketing, business administration or a similar field, MBA is a strong asset
–
At least 7 years of experience in supporting the delivery of large scale Digital solutions, working closely with product teams.
–
Proven track record of senior management advisory experience that delivered great outcomes
–
Large scale change management experience
–
Agile delivery and coaching experience, a strong asset
–
Implementation of UX disciplines such as Design Sprints and user research, a strong asset
–
Experience in the creation of analytical dashboards and recommendations for optimization, an asset
–
Definition and implementation of an omnichannel strategy, an asset
–
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills combined with the constant desire to provide value to our customers and partners.

Ability to think strategically, challenge the status quo and dive deep into analysis while maintaining line of sight of strategy, goals and objective.

Experience developing KPIs, building and presenting reports that tell success stories for our clients through the data we collect.
–
Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly and maintain focus while working with complex data in an environment of changing priorities and requirements.

Well-developed leadership and influencing skills and demonstrated ability to develop and maintain key relationships with stakeholders.

Effective team player who collaborates to build positive and productive working relationships at the local, regional and corporate levels.
