Why is this role important?
In this position, the SFA works directly with the Senior Finance Manager for LCL Pharmacy. The team works closely with the LCL Pharmacy Operations team and partners with finance teams throughout the business. This is a dynamic role that requires multi-tasking, comfort with changing priorities, and solid analytical and technical skills with focus on accuracy and details.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the preparation of weekly & periodic reports and reconciliations
  • Review and analyze business unit P&L results compared to budgets/forecasts and prior years
  • Develop reporting templates and tools for planning
  • Assist with preparation of period end senior management presentations
  • Prepare period-end journal entries for accruals and Ad hoc entries as required
  • Liaise with Pharmacy operation’s directors to provide insights and understand business changes to anticipate impacts on planning & reporting
  • Summarize vast amounts of complex information from multiple data sources to develop reports and models to solve business problems
  • Write SQL to efficiently retrieve information from business data sources to support different reporting needs
  • Evaluate new data sources and help define more effective ways to communicate data with our business users
  • Design BI technical components based on business and user requirements
  • Lead on-going process improvements/enhancements to ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Ad-hoc analysis & reporting as required

Job Qualifications

  • University degree in Business, Finance or a related field
  • Possess or pursuing a CPA designation
  • Proficient in SQL – query optimization and syntax knowledge
  • Ability to independently deal with relevant tools (Excel, SAP, BI tools like MicroStrategy)
  • Minimum of 2 years business experience within a Finance and/or Retail environment
  • Ability to successfully communicate complex problems verbally, written or via decks/presentations
  • An analytical & creative thinker, comfortable working in ambiguity with a record of delivering results
  • Notable problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
