Our client, a growing medium sized Public Accounting firm is looking to add to their strong professional team. You will work on and manage larger and more complex engagements and continue to advance your technical knowledge. You will continue to have increased exposure within the firm and externally through elevated client interactions. You will display leadership through the mentoring, coaching and training of other team members.

Responsibilities:

Perform a lead role in completion of audits and review engagements of financial statements for Owner-Managed Businesses including preparation of corporate and personal income tax returns adhering to industry standards and guidelines

Confidently audit accounts payable, inventory, accounts receivable, fixed assets etc.

Independently complete review engagements of financial statements for owner-managed businesses including preparation of corporate income tax returns

Independently complete Notice to Reader engagements including preparation of corporate income tax returns

Ability to research accounting issues in accordance with ASPE and make recommendations on proposed accounting treatment

Manage competing deadlines for multiple partners and managers while providing quality service to clients

Provide guidance to junior team members

Demonstrate commitment to the Firm’s Mission, Vision, Values

Show ongoing progress to the achievement of the competencies for your level

Qualifications:

CPA, CA

University Business Degree

Proficient in the use of Caseware/Caseview and Tax Prep software

Public accounting audit experience for a variety of industries, preferably in a small to mid-size firm

Knowledge of Accounting Standards for private enterprises

Demonstrated technical accounting skills and research capabilities

Strong client service and communication skills

Expected salary: $75000 – 85000 per year
