Purpose:
The Audit Department is the 3rd Line of Defense and plays a key role in the internal control system of the Bank. Its mandate is to provide enterprise-wide, independent, objective assurance over the design and operation of the Bank’s internal control, risk management and governance processes.
The objective of this position is to fulfill a Senior Manager role, within a team of IT audit professionals to assess the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls relating to IT applications, data, third party, IT projects and related processes supporting businesses throughout Bank.
Key Accountabilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Executing and leading Technology or Business Integrated audits as the Officer-in-charge. A significant portion of the accountabilities will relate to providing assurance over the Bank’s IT application controls, data controls (data at rest, data in motion, data in use), third party risks, software development and project management controls throughout the bank.
- Assist in managing the planning, execution, and reporting of assigned audits in accordance with department standards.
- Support the Director and VP in determining the overall audit plan and strategy over business applications within the Bank.
Skills Experience and Functional Competencies
We would love to work with you if you have:
- Expertise and proficiency in applying risk-based auditing standards, practices, techniques, processes and methodologies and regulatory guidelines to the performance of audits.
- Strong technical understanding of various IT platforms and evolving technologies including cloud computing, data lakes, big data and agile development methodologies.
- Experienced in using data analytics to perform audit procedures in the technology space.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills and experience developing relationships with auditees.
- Motivated, self-starter with a passion to learn and embracing new challenges.
- Strong project management skills and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical skills, ability to problem solve and multi-task.
Education and Other Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
- IT Audit or Information Security professional designation such as CISA, CRISC, CISM, CSX, CISSP, etc; or
- Audit professional designation (CPA, CIA).
