Length: 9 Months contract with the possibility of extension

Location: Toronto- ON (Hybrid)

Requirements:

ROLE MANDATE:

The Senior Business Transformation Analyst is an advocate for change and plays a critical role in bridging the gap between the Business and IT. As a Senior BTA, you will have a proven track record in defining, analyzing, and documenting user requirements, procedures, and challenges. You are able to work through uncertainty to effectively solve problems to develop new solutions and identify value propositions that address the needs of the business to drive growth and meet strategic priorities. You are able to work in the weeds, but also surface to see the bigger picture and identify dependencies across initiatives at any given time.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Business Analysis 30%

Conduct analysis of existing documentation

Document current processes through participation in and/or facilitate brainstorming sessions or workshops with stakeholders

Ideate and facilitate discussion to document the conceptual target state processes in order to address gaps and pain points identified in the current state

Perform research and conduct data gathering exercises to support options and recommendations

Collaborate cross functionally to develop options and recommendations to meet a business objective

Gathering requirements and document detailed business requirements, use cases and user stories

Eliciting, document, validate and prioritize functional and non-functional system requirements in collaboration with business clients, end users and project stakeholders

2 Business Case Development 40%

Collaborate with stakeholders cross functionally to develop a case for change taking into consideration people, process, technology

Develop high-level rough order of magnitude cost estimates for project execution

Ability to assess various option across a defined set of criteria

Monitor the business case and seek ways for value creation / optimization

3. Project Delivery 10%

Conduct presentations regarding assessment findings/recommendations, project status and current issues

Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and within quality targets

Implementation support on business process knowledge transfer

4. Mentorship 20%

Ability to mentor and train junior analysts through methodology and approach

Creates a safe place for junior analysts to learn and grow

Motivates and inspires others to achieve results

Regards and recognizes great performance

Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

Post-secondary education in Business Administraiton, Commerce, Engineering, or related field

Preferred Experience:

8+ years’ experience in a similar role

Proficient (or strong knowledge) of the Business Analysis and Business Architecture Frameworks, Change Management Principles, and Project Management

Experience in writing use cases and business requirements documents

Experience developing processes flows using BPMN 2.0 Standards Preferred

Strong preference for experience in consulting and business transformation

Additional Certifications or Designations

Certified Business Analysis Professional (CPAB)
