We’re looking for a Senior Data Reporting Analyst to support the continued growth of our member base and to increase member engagement and satisfaction. You will report directly to our Manager of Data and work closely with the Growth, Product and Digital Analytics teams.

What you’ll do:

  • Write and manipulate advanced SQL queries on a daily basis to develop data pipelines and perform analyses
  • Derive data-driven insights around how our members are using our products and engaging with our platform
  • Leverage visualization tools to create and maintain meaningful and accurate reports for other departments and senior leadership to fuel key business decisions
  • Collate and analyze data across multiple products to understand member life-time value
  • Complete gap analysis and identify opportunities for enhancements to the current member experience
  • Communicate and liaise with other data analysts and product managers to define action items derived from the results of your analyses
  • Research and investigate new data tools and processes to promote cutting-edge industry practices
  • Challenge the status quo; shine a light on the unknown – be the catalyst for change and improvement
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Mogo, regularly using our suite of products, sharing the brand with friends and family, and providing feedback to the team for improvements

What you’ll need:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a data or business analyst role in a high growth company with a fast-paced environment
  • At least 2 years of experience conducting large scale quantitative analysis
  • Advanced SQL scripting required
  • Professional experience with one or more data visualization and reporting tools, such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI, and Advanced Excel
  • Proficiency with one or more statistical analysis tools, such as Python, SAS or R to perform data analysis a plus
  • Experience creating detailed dashboards and visualizations that are relevant and appropriate for the intended audience
  • Understanding of statistics and data science fundamentals
  • Proven ability to relay detailed data analysis in a simple, practical and time-sensitive manner
  • Track record of staying cutting edge and evolving a company’s data practices
  • Ability to multitask and shift priorities on short notice, including working in a dynamic fintech environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Member obsessed – know who our members are and what they want
  • A passion for fintech, including awareness and usage of Mogo’s products
  • Results-focused with the ability to think strategically
