Introduction
As a digital agribusiness consultant at IBM, you will work with clients across the agriculture and food value chain, to understand their pain points and to identify opportunities, to help guide them in their digital journey. You will work across a range of different clients, from large multi-nationals to local companies, taking a technology agnostic and holistic approach (people, process and technology) to digital transformation and digital maturity. Your work will include both small, focused engagements, to larger digital transformational programs.

You will have strong project delivery and consulting skills, while at the same time being able to drive new business. You will have an in-depth understanding of agribusiness, ag-retail and the wider food value chain, including knowledge of agronomy processes and the relationship between growers, ag-retails and other related parties. You will have deep knowledge of digital front-office technologies, such as ecommerce/omni-channel, CRM, retail analytics and agronomic capabilities.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Business Development: Contribute to the growth of the Canadian Agribusiness consulting practice through delivery and sales activities. Support client engagements, contributing to RFPs, pitches, road-mapping, and account planning

Project Delivery: Participate in and help lead consulting engagements and drive digital transformation at the strategic level. You must have direct experience engaging with C-Suite level clients in agribusiness
Presentation and Communication Skills: Develop, present, and facilitate client meetings and workshops
Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted advisor/consultant to clients
Identify new opportunities and manage internal relationships with IBM client executives to drive new business for the practice

Thought Leader and Digital Advocate: Remain at the leading-edge of emerging technology and contribute to knowledge championing and sharing across the IBM organisation. Advise other IBM teams on industry processes and technology trends.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• General consulting or other equivalent business experience. Strategy consulting will be advantageous
• Experience managing complex projects and diverse teams
• Significant experience working for an agribusiness company or technology consulting firm developing business strategies for agribusiness clients or equivalent experience managing client engagements
• Significant experience working with and implementing digital technologies. CRM and ecommerce experience will be advantageous
• Eminence in the agribusiness community. Knowledge of industry trends and insights. Not afraid to be forward thinking and to challenge the status quo
• Relevant experience in leadership across complex internal/external engagements, including functional, international or cross-organizational teams
• Experience in a sales capacity. Including a track record of growing accounts and/or selling consulting services to clients
• Willingness to travel (domestically and globally) up to 4 days a week.
