Join our dynamic team in the heart of Community Development Facilities, where your leadership and organizational skills will shape the premium experience for our valued guests. As a Concession Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing concession operations, fostering client relationships, and ensuring compliance with provincial and municipal policies.

About the Role:

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to the concession staff.
  • Supervise and coordinate staff schedules, attendance, and performance.
  • Foster a positive work environment through constructive feedback and support.

Premium Seating Client Relations:

  • Manage relationships with Premium Seating clients to ensure exceptional service.
  • Facilitate communication during high-capacity events for efficient operations.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee the management of POS systems and ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure compliance with City of Medicine Hat policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment through adherence to health and safety policies.

Inventory Management and Supply Chain:

  • Manage inventory control in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Coordinate timely delivery and provision of supplies and products.
  • Ensure staff are appropriately trained in accordance with FOODSAFE and City of Medicine Hat policies.

Event Coordination:

  • Plan and monitor food services during events, maintaining high standards.
  • Coordinate setup and catering requirements for special events.

Financial Accountability:

  • Perform effective cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
  • Work closely with the Food & Beverage Supervisor on staff recruitment and performance management.

Administration and Reporting:

  • Ensure timely preparation of all required paperwork, reports, and schedules.
  • Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Supervisor on staff recruitment and performance management.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of concession procedures, cash reconciliation, and inventory management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to create a positive work environment and build strong interpersonal relations.
  • Knowledge of FOODSAFE and Pro Serve guidelines.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple responsibilities, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in office management practices, including basic accounting principles and point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of experience, including supervisory experience in Food Services.
  • Successful completion of a safe food handling course (e.g., Food Safe).
  • Successful completion of an alcohol service course (e.g., ProServe program).
  • Completion of Certified Concession Manager (CCM) program would be an asset.
