Job description: Our valued Public sector client is in need of a Senior Java Developer (Spring, Hibernate) to develop and enhance web-based, n-tier applications that support environmental research.

Our client provides leadership in the growth and development of a competitive, innovative and sustainable Canadian agriculture and agri-food sector. The activities of the Department range from the farmer to the consumer, from the farm to global markets, through all phases of producing, processing and marketing of farm, food and bio-based products. The client is also a shared jurisdiction in Canada, and the Department works closely with provincial and territorial governments in the development and delivery of policies and programs.

We are looking for someone with the following, but not limited to, techincal experience:

  • 7 years as a Java (Spring/Hibernate) Developer developing and/or enhancing web-based, n-tier applications
  • Experience with REST and SOAP API development.
  • Experience with JSON and XML
  • Oracle experience
  • ETL experience
  • PL SQL

Nice to have:

  • ETL tools: Informatica or equivalent.
  • Experience creating data hierarchies
  • Experience with High data volumes

Specialization and Skills: Software Development Java 8 – 10 years
