A day in a life of a senior manager, IT Risk:
The senior manager’s primary role will be to support the team in preparing, planning and executing mandates, as well as presenting results. The candidate will also support the group’s partners in identifying business opportunities, and preparing and presenting proposals. The candidate should have a good understanding of internal controls, specifically IT governance, risk and control processes. As a Practice Leader, you will primarily advise clients in Montréal and Québec and may be required to work outside the province (5–10% of the time).
Below are mandates and activities in which you will participate:
- IT consulting and advisory mandates (governance, ERP, security, optimization, RPA)
- IT audit and control mandates (SOX, 52–109, SOC 1, SOC 2)
- IT risk management mandates
- Data analysis mandates
- IT internal audit mandates (major projects, cloud computing, security, governance, continuity)
- Establishing strong business relationships with clients and prospects in conjunction with the team’s partners
- Preparing and presenting proposals in conjunction with partners
- Researching innovative methods to deliver services or develop new services
- Supervising and coaching the team’s more junior resources
- Identifying candidates and participating in recruitment activities
What we are looking for:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in IT, governance, computer security and/or experience in audit and risk management
- Proficiency in the delivery of IT consulting services and/or IT internal audit mandates
- Experience preparing proposals
- Highly analytical, technically competent, capable of reacting independently to challenges and able to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of IT audit methodologies, especially those concerning general computer controls, automated controls, segregation of duties conflicts and computer security
- Knowledge of technological platforms (different operating systems, databases, applications such as ERP and financial systems)
- CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CISSP, ITIL, PMP certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or graduate diploma in an IT or management field
- Knowledge of IT control and security frameworks (ISO 2700x, NIST CSF, COBIT) – an asset
- Knowledge of the standards for SOC 1 and SOC 2 reports – an asset
- Knowledge of data analysis tools and methods (ACL, IDEA, Power BI, Tableau) – an asset
- Knowledge of major project management issues – an asset
- Good analytical skills, strong organizational and teamwork skills
- Ability to demonstration business, tactical and strategic thinking, innovation and creativity
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presenting), interpersonal skills, strong facilitation and interviewing skills in English and French
- Bilingual (English and French, written and oral)
