The opportunity
Lead and achieve strategic business development objectives to build and maintain a high-value portfolio of agricultural clients, with average loan and deposit values greater than $10MM, in a specified geographic market. Work closely with product partners to develop the right products to tap market opportunities. Lead all aspects of risk-reward parameters within acceptable levels towards achieving optimal business performance. Be recognized as the “face of CWB” in the local market delivering full-service banking and financial solutions through effective and authentic partnerships.
Knowledge & experience to grow from
A Bachelor’s Degree in commerce, finance or accounting fields with a minimum of 6 years’ experience within agriculture lending or related experience. Proven experience developing and implementing successful sales strategies and actions.

Client focused: Deliver outstanding client experiences at every interaction and execute on plans to continuously build the client experience, in line with CWB’s brand promise. Provide full-service solutions for clients with the view to be every client’s primary financial partner.
Sales driven: Execute an independent marketing plan to achieve targeted business growth mix, with a focus on larger mid-market commercial clients inclusive of independent sales activities:
- Targeted outbound call program
- Referral generating program
- Business community and industry networking
- Developing self-generated leads
- Regimented follow-up calendar
Relationship oriented: Develop and execute a relationship strategy for each client, identifying the key issues surrounding the relationship and implement a strategy to facilitate the expansion of our partnership with the business.
Knowledgeable: Maintain in-depth knowledge of clients and prospects, market, competition and economic factors, in conjunction with robust understanding of key business issues and trends.
Experienced negotiator: Optimize business and client relationships while practicing proactive risk management in a highly competitive environment – a win/win determination.
Adaptable: Identify and respond to changes in the business environment, establishing action plans to address customer issues and priorities.
Trusted partner: Be highly visible & a go-to resource with larger businesses and related professionals in the market, and be well-known as a trusted business advisor who is sought after for financial mentorship.
