The Finance Team manages the performance and risk profile of Bell, ensuring the needs of customers, investors and employees are balanced with long-term business success. We work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute plans that help the company achieve its strategic objectives and ensure financial sustainability.

The Senior Manager, Finance will be a key member of the BBM Finance Team, and will be reporting directly to the Director, Finance. This role supports the full end-to-end ownership of the Wireless Business segment P&L through the monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting cycles. The role will focus on the Wireless Business Core postpaid products but will also consolidate the entire Wireless Business P&L for both Commercial and Enterprise segments. The role will manage a team of three finance professionals.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and leadership skills and a clear ability to identify and interpret key business trends and issues. The successful candidate will also have strong communication skills in order to build relationships at various levels of the organization and have the confidence necessary to lead discussions. The successful candidate will also have the ability to cultivate their team of finance professionals for growth and development.

Job Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Work with the business to identify/validate key business assumptions and incorporate them into the forecast/budget
  • Maintain and enhance forecasting and reporting models through an in-depth understanding of both financials and metrics
  • Prepare forward-looking budget and forecast decks for presentation to senior management
  • Analyze monthly results and understand business initiatives in order to prepare monthly commentary for review with senior management along with recommendations for corrective action
  • Process Improvement by continuously updating financial models and assumptions to increase accuracy and agility
  • Consolidation of financial results for the wireless business portfolio for purposes of creating financial forecasts and for monthly reporting
  • SG&A and headcount tracking, reporting and forecasting
  • Make actionable recommendations that drive financial performance
  • Mentor, coach and develop team of finance professionals to deliver on objectives

Required Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
  • A professional accounting designation (i.e., CPA, CA, CMA or CGA)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation skills) including experience presenting directly to senior management
  • Attention to detail and strong accounting acumen required
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize issues
  • Results-oriented with a drive to add value to the organization
  • Ability to partner with cross-functional operational and finance teams
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Wireless industry experience preferred
  • Experience with SAP, BPC
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
