The Senior Manager, Finance plays a key role in the management of financial activities for the Toronto Blue Jays. The Senior Finance Manger will report to the Director of Finance, Toronto Blue Jays and will work from the Rogers Centre.

What you’ll be doing:

• Liaising with Major League Baseball to deliver all mandatory and ad-hoc reporting
• Managing external audits
• Managing budgeting and forecasting processes and deliverables
• Managing the month-end processes and deliverables
• Managing the capital budgeting and forecasting submissions to RCI
• Managing the preparation of executive level reporting
• Managing the Treasury and Administrative functions of the Club including wires, ACH payments, Amex program and Vault Operations.
• Leading and developing the Reporting & Administration team
• Providing analytics and insight into drivers, variances and opportunities
• Identifying and assessing business risks and opportunities and performing ad hoc valuations of business opportunities
• Managing ad hoc projects and financial analysis as required

What you have:

• Forward thinking and questioning the status quo
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle competing priorities in a fast-paced retail environment
• Detail-oriented, ability to take initiative, and an excellent team player
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
• Accounting designation (CPA) recommended
• Highly advanced analytical skills and advanced Excel skills
• Proficient in Hyperion Smartview and Oracle Financial Systems an asset.
• Strong business acumen with excellent problem solving skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels and areas of the organization
