Our client, a Leading Heavy Civil Contractor is looking for a Senior Project Manager in Edmonton, AB to join their team. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to further progress their careers within heavy civil projects such as highways, bridges and dam projects. As a diverse Project Manager, you will have a strong background in overseeing multiple projects from conception to completion specifically in projects over $50 Million.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for managing resources, daily operations, scheduling, financial reporting, estimating (cost planning) material management, quality and safety management. The ideal candidate would have previous experience in the industry, with a strong ambition to join a profitable and stable organization with lots of opportunity for future growth and career advancement.

Responsibilities

• Compliance for all OH&S regulations for construction sites; implementation and continuous improvement
• Quality control managing different project sites
• Financial forecasting ensuring optimal profits; budgets, scheduling, costs and estimates, material management, subcontracts and reporting
• Monitor construction progress and scheduling including labor, procurement, equipment and subcontractors.
• Contract management and reporting of change orders, negotiation, schedule impacts billing and approvals.
• Review of estimates and project costs; tender changes, procurement and negotiation of new costs.

Qualifications

• Degree/ Diploma in Civil Engineering
• P.Eng is desire, or EIT working toward P.Eng
• 7-10+ years of relevant Project Management experience
• PMP is an asset but not required
