Senior Technician, Corporate Accounting

Department: Corporate accounting

Location: Laval, Quebec

Type: Permanent, Full-time

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Information and Corporate Accounting, within the Corporate Finance team, the Senior Technician, Corporate Accounting will be responsible for the following tasks:

Accounting for inter-company and corporate department expenses;

CAD & multi-currency bank reconciliations;

Accounting for interest and amortization of debts;

Perform DAS and GST/QST remittances;

Prepare various period end, quarter end and year end documents for analysis;

Verify accrued/prepaid expenses accounts;

Participate in the continuous improvement of the tools used in the position as well as in the improvement of procedures;

Participate in various special projects.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Education:

DEC or AEC Accounting;

Experience:

Any relevant experience in accounting is considered an asset;

Knowledge and skills:

Good ability to use office tools such as Excel and Word;

Quality work ethic, autonomy and initiative;

Ability to manage priorities while respecting deadlines;

Ability to work in a team and to communicate;

Language skills:

Bilingualism (French and English) good communication skills, both oral and written.
