Job description: Mangia Cucina & Bar is cozy, casual & authentically Italian, situated in a converted heritage house in beautiful Mount Pleasant in Vancouver, BC.
Mangia Cucina & Bar is currently looking for a skilled, proactive and motivated server to join our team in Vancouver, BC. 2-3 years of experience in a busy restaurant is required as well as knowledge of wines and Italian cuisine. This is either a part-time or a full-time job.
Please note priority will be given to people who drop in with their resume in person during our opening hours at 2211 Manitoba St in Vancouver.
We want someone to play an integral role in our team by becoming our newest front of house server. We offer a friendly and dynamic work-space where you can truly fulfill yourself and also have fun. Extensive training will be provided, however, minimum 2 year of work experience as a server is required.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages
- Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff
- Recommend wines that complement patrons’ meals
- Serve food and beverages
- Prepare and serve specialty foods at patrons’ tables
- Present bill to patrons and accept payment
- May order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware
- May perform sensory evaluation of wines
- Work cooperatively with management and the rest of the team
- Demonstrate commitment and positive attitude
