Responsibilities

  • Working knowledge of Service department SRT is a must
  • Ability to identify, search and fill parts orders as it relates to Heavy Duty trucks
  • Management experience a must
  • Greets customers promptly
  • Obtains customer and vehicle information
  • Clearly reports all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer
  • Determines and recommends needed maintenance base on age, mileage, and vehicle history
  • Prepares complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts
  • Establishes follow-up time
  • Monitors the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, updating customers frequently
  • Verifies that final invoice reconciles with work performed on the repair order
  • Meet with customers and determine their needs for repair and/or service of their vehicle issues
  • Increase customer satisfaction by building customer relations
  • Maintain the company’s standards for ethical business practices, professional image, orderliness, customer service and good employee and community relations
  • Increase profitability by maximizing sales & executing retail promotions
  • Oversee mechanics working on vehicles, including their time management/efficiency, parts ordering, job completion times
  • Oversee and participate in quality control
  • Participate in the development and documentation of standard operating procedures as appropriate

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a service writer, service advisor, or service manager
  • Knowledge of repair SRT for heavy trucking industry
  • Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction
  • Above-average energy level
  • A desire for a long-term career with a growing organization
  • Strong communication and customer relations skills
  • General understanding of various functions of a distribution center
  • Preference given to individuals with CDK software training
  • Computer-literate with the ability to learn and become proficient in any software programs
  • High school diploma or equivalent degree preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
