Department Overview
We are seeking a solutions designer to join our Conversational AI team within the TD Technology CPET organization.
Our team is obsessed with chatbots. We want to build chatbots that are useful in the financial world, and we need your help! We are looking for engineers who have experience with creating systems for chatbots that address real business needs.
We are a group of engineers and designers who are determined to change the way customers interact with Chatbots. Our mission is to build intelligent solutions that enable both customers and colleagues to have an OMNI Channel conversation through Voice, Web, Mobile or Social Media and get assistance, self-service and advice instantly.

Job Requirements
You’ll need to have:
5+ years in JSON/Java/JEE/DB web application development
Experience in programming with Java & J2EE Technologies.
Experience on NLP/NLU.
Experience with Artificial Intelligence / Machine learning methodologies.
Experience with Micro services architecture and development.
Experience working in Agile team settings and as a team lead
Experience with build processes, continuous integration and source control systems (GIT an asset)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Even better if you have:
Mobile/Desktop application development experience.
Experience on implementation of Conversational Chatbots.
Experience with Watson Assistant, Google Dialog Flow, Rasa, MS Chatbot Framework / LUIS.AI
Conversation Design experience
Knowledge of MFC frameworks such as AngularJS, Backbone, React.
Web Technologies: HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, HTML-DOM, AJAX an asset
Development tools: Eclipse, Maven, Bitbucket, Git
Development and platforms: Windows, Unix/Linux, JBoss
Experience with chat or messaging platforms like Genesys or Live Person.
Experience with Social Media handles and integration.
Experience with application performance tuning and monitoring.

Job Description
Develop and improve dialogue runtime to implement and enhance conversational patterns, such as slot filling, disambiguation, and digression.
Write high-quality, efficient, testable code in Java and other object-oriented languages.
Build highly available, secure, distributed systems in a micro-services architecture.
Mentor other developers.
Own and operate the systems that you build based on real-time customer data and demanding service-level agreements.
Contribute to planning, design, implementation, testing, operations, and process improvement as a member of a Scrum team.
Work closely with solutions architects to bring state-of-the-art conversational AI techniques into complex enterprise environments.
Work closely with other engineering teams, product managers and user-experience designers to act as a bridge between AI innovations, business requirements and the needs of the customer.
Continuously develop knowledge of emerging technologies and analytics techniques and support the pursuit of business development opportunities.
