Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Sr Analyst, IT Quality Assurance, you will join CIBC’s Technology team where you will develop, schedule, coordinate and execute test procedures of systems and software for multiple projects for system integration.

How You’ll Succeed

• Execute Testing Activities: Analyze, define, and translate business and functional requirements, use cases, designs and specifications into testing requirements, test strategy, test plans and test cases. Manage and coordinate end to end testing activities for small and large projects across many teams with both onsite and offshore resources
• Report & Monitor: Report and manage software concerns and test activities throughout the software development lifecycle. Provide status of testing, communicate issues, implement QA standards and policies, and communicate QA schedule.
• Manage & Influence: Direct, motivate, develop and manage performance of the testing team and key staff. Participate in client business review sessions to influence decisions regarding use of technology to support objectives or address issues

• You can demonstrate strong experience in software development testing through 3-5 years of experience in application system manual or automation testing and quality assurance. You are able to successfully translate business processes, systems functionality and requirements into well written test plans
• It’s an advantage if you have knowledge or experience using SQL and Oracle databases, payment systems, SWIFT, test scripting, application architecture, multiple IT platforms, systems and software and working the SDLC. Experience within an Agile environment is a great asset.
