Position Summary This position will play a key leadership role in the execution and governance of the Global Logistics Optimization Team of the Medical Segment’s warehouse operations, inventory management, and replenishment capabilities which includes over 65 distributions centers, replenishment centers and warehouses and more than 5,000 employees across the United States and Canada.

Expectations

• Serve as Global Logistics Optimization leadership in governance of multiple network wide programs and initiatives
• Demonstrates knowledge of the project management initiating, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling, and closing processes.
• Drive medical segment network optimization business case writing and development
• Execute monthly GLO Finance & Project Review meeting
• Produce Monthly GLO project Snapshot report tied to MBO tracker for review by GMSC Senior Leadership
• Lead in building out of long term strategy road map for GLO
• Owner and execution of weekly and monthly GLO tiered communications meetings
• Prioritizes multiple tasks while meeting deadlines; communicates project status (health, forecast, issues, risks, etc.) to stakeholders in an open and honest fashion.
• Effectively balances competing project constraints including but not limited to scope, quality, schedule, funding, budget, resources, and risk, to manage project success.
• Partner with Advanced Analytics and Inventory planning teams to execute various forward thinking projects
• Lead the GLO portfolio management of several hundred projects (active and pipeline). Portfolio management process owner.
• Negotiates with stakeholders to obtain the resources necessary for successful project execution and support
• Utilizes broad and deep knowledge to develop innovative new business practices, policies and procedures
• Consults with GMSC Senior Leadership to determine project objectives with long-term implications
• Acts as a mentor to less experienced colleagues
• Build Strategic Partnerships and Relationships—Builds strategic alliances and partnerships within the organization to collaboratively execute business strategies
• Role ensures we achieve our overall GLO financial targets and MBOs, drives resolution of roadblocks.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• 6+ years’ experience in related field (supply chain, distribution, logistics, inventory, demand planning, transportation, manufacturing, sourcing, operational excellence, etc.)•
• Prior experiences leading and managing within a highly regulated environment
• Prior experience leading large and geographically dispersed organization with many levels (leadership, management, professional, hourly) required
• Leadership skills and team building skills, along with the ability to work effectively in a matrix environment
• Prior experience in operational excellence, lean six sigma, continuous improvement, project management highly preferred.

Travel expectations: 20%+(post COVID)
