As a valued function within the organization the Internal Audit Services (IAS) team is engaged in numerous innovative initiatives, working closely with multiple business units to help support and strengthen the enterprise risk and control environment.
Reporting to the Senior Director, IT Audit & Data Analytics, the Senior Manager, IT Audit is accountable for the execution of the annual IT audit portfolio through assurance and advisory work, ensuring IT activities are consistent with the Company’s risk posture and key policies. You will join a dedicated and motivated team with exposure to multiple industries within the Loblaw enterprise including grocery retail, healthcare, and banking.
What you will do
- Oversee the planning and timely execution of IT Audits, including IT reviews of IT processes, applications, projects and infrastructure according to the agile Audit Plan
- Conduct risk assessments on IT and operational processes, procedures, and policies
- Assist senior management with the development of the audit plan and strategy including input from audit work and emerging disruptions to the business
- Identify and assist in implementing opportunities for data analytics and technology automation to continuously improve the audit process
- Assist in the preparation and review of formal audit/review reports concerning audit findings and recommendations
- Maintain mitigation strategies and perform regular follow up with action owners to ensure management’s timely completion of the remediation action plans
- Train, empower and develop staff, including overseeing annual performance evaluation and career development
- Support the department in continuous process improvements and management of special projects as required
- Collaborate with the technology team, internal lines of defense and external auditors to facilitate compliance and audit activities
- Support integrated audits by providing subject matter expertise related to IT processes and applications, existing and emerging risks, testing of controls and identifying areas of opportunity
What we are looking for
- Undergraduate degree in an Information Technology related field such as IT Systems, Computer Science, IT Management or Data Analytics.
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation. The preferred candidate may also have one or more of the following designations: CIA, CISSP, CISM or CPA
- Minimum 4 years of experience including management roles in IT Audit, IT consulting practice and/or technology, with a strong risk-based audit foundation
- The candidate must have strong technical knowledge of IT platforms, operating systems, network services, security, privacy and business applications
- Knowledge of Audit assurance, governance and control frameworks including COBIT, ISF, NIST and ISO, Service Organization Controls (SOC) Reporting standards (e.g. CSAE 3416, Section 5025, AT 101) sufficient to interpret and apply IT risk and control concepts
- Experience auditing large enterprise IT implementations with knowledge of project methodologies (Agile, Iterative etc.) including project risks and controls
- Previous experience with the use of data analytics applications
- Demonstrate strong planning, project management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while leveraging resources and empowering the team to complete the work effectively and efficiently
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication
- Strong problem solving skills with demonstrated creative, innovative and strategic thinking
- Ability to manage and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
