This role will be remote until Nutrien safely transitions back into our locations.
Term will begin May 1st, 2021 for 4 months.
Reporting to Manager, Procurement, Carseland
What you will do:
- Assist with data gathering and analysis from SAP, relevant to all facets of strategic sourcing and value generation. This includes, contract administration, contract negotiations, total cost of ownership modelling, supplier risk analysis, cost comparatives, historical spend, market analysis, and cost tracking
- Use the data and analysis, create proposals to support site- and regional-level contracts, Continuous Improvement Projects, and Opportunity ID Workshops.
- Provide project-specific support to stakeholders, relevant to value propositions defined in the initial onboarding phase
- Assist with turnaround planning and post-outage auditing
- Assist with site-level stewardship of COVID-19 planning and execution
- Create and review process maps for various procurement functions
- Participate and contribute to competitive RFx sourcing process (RFI, RFQ, RFP)
- Meet individual and department goals & objectives targets identified by management
- Perform additional tasks as defined by the SP Manager or staff buyers
What you will bring:
- Competence in standard Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Currently enrolled in a university degree or diploma program required, Supply Chain or Project Management focus preferred
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred
- Knowledge of and usage with Enterprise Resource Software
- Ability to work with large amounts of data
- Basic understanding of SAP
- Ability to learn and understand centrally developed Procurement Policy, aligned business processes and enabling systems, and strategic procurement methodology and procedures
