Job description: Overview

We are looking for a Team Lead, Software Test, Agriculture to join our global engineering and manufacturing tech company. Join our team and do cool stuff that matters! Reporting to the Ag Engineer Manager, the V&V Team Lead will guide a very specialized team responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of NovAtel products that are developed for the precision agriculture market. You will influence business success by applying your extensive background and expertise in testing strategies within a high tech industry. Your work will impact all phases of the software development and deployment life-cycle. You will plan activities and deliverables for ongoing software release cycles, support new and existing products, and benchmark our products against competitors. The Senior Team Lead will also be responsible for coordinating activities across the product verification teams located in Calgary and Hyderabad, India. Leveraging your experience and leadership, you will mentor the team to enhance testing and release management practices & process at NovAtel.

The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based in Calgary, AB.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Team Lead, Verification & Validation, Agriculture you will:

• Own the software verification and validation discipline for agricultural products
• Collaborate with chief engineer and systems engineering to define and deliver testing and integration strategies
• Plan test deliverables, leading to effective and efficient product and software releases
• Provide testing oversight across the software disciplines to ensure new products exceed quality goals
• Coordinate testing across softare disciplines to reduce duplication and ensure there are no coverage gaps
• Review requirements and manage traceability for measuring product compliance
• Provide necessary team training on processes and capabilities
• Manage the test infrastructure (vehicles, sites and systems) to ensure continuous team efficiency and capability

Qualifications

Must-Have:

• Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering or equivalent with 6+ years of related experience
• 3+ years in a technical team leadership position with a focus on product verification
• Experience delivering high-quality mentorship and skills development
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to achieve Controlled Goods security status
• Available for international trips, up to 10% a year
• Able to drive agricultural equipment or willingness to complete training to do so

• Valid driver’s license to conduct weekly local field visits
