Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Operation Leader is responsible for leading and motivating logistics operations team to deliver results in key areas of safety, quality, productivity, housekeeping, and inventory. This position will provide leadership for execution of the physical material flow plan including daily operations of material flow activities and developing plans for growth and improvement of the employees, assets and the operation.

Responsibilities:

• Establish streamlined processes and systems for physical material flow.
• Work with crews, logistics team, process engineers, customers, and suppliers to evaluate and recommend upgrades and design improvements.
• Develop project AFE’s/IAFE’s to support any proposed investments.
• Support Logistics Manager and other site leaders in determining and directing long range plans, objectives, and activities.
• Establish measurement systems to ensure consistency between crews and team members and assist in communicating key performance indicators.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management or Logistics and/or relevant work experience of 5 years required.
• Material Flow Process, systems experience
• Lean Manufacturing experience
• Six sigma experience helpful
• Consumer Goods Logistics industry experience. Paper/tissue experience considered a plus.
