Summary:

The Telecom Expense and Reporting Analyst is responsible for managing daily activities within the Aaron’s IT Telecom Expense Management tool to optimize for maximum cost savings across a diverse portfolio of Telecom service provider. This position will report to the Manager of Technology Procurement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the onboarding of all new Telecom services within the TEM tool, set up all cost allocations for chargebacks and work with 3rd party Brightfin for invoice processing.
  • Work with AP and Brightfin on all requests for cost allocation changes, errors, and P&L questions.
  • Ensure the flow of activities for invoice processing and payments within the TEM are on time and in working order and report any system issues or delays.
  • Audit Telecom invoices as needed for accuracy and work with vendors on any disputes or corrections.
  • Maintain online profiles and logins for all vendors and invoices in scope. Add additional billing accounts to profiles as needed and pull missing invoices as requested.
  • Manage the process for all services that require disconnection or port out to include disconnect request submission, follow up, validation of final invoice and update of inventory.
  • Work with vendors, PayClearly and AP on all requests for late payments, suspension notices, disconnect for non-payments and returned or lost checks.
  • Regularly review inventory of services for errors and opportunities for cost savings or increased value.
  • Review Telecom contracts as needed to confirm any business terms during legal review process.
  • Generate reporting as needed for EOM close out, accruals, historical spend and for any ad hoc requested documentation.
  • Occasional Duties Assist with conduction and reconciliation of scheduled accounting audits.
  • Generate custom reporting and dashboard creation or modification.
  • Participate in IT Telecom or IT Hardware projects and rollouts.
  • Processing account consolidations and transfer of ownerships of services.
  • Onboarding new vendors.
  • Assist the IT Hardware Procurement team with invoice keying and matching.

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience fully administering TEMS
  • College or Technical degree in Accounting or Finance.

Required Skills:

  • Must be able to read, understand, explain, and audit all elements of a telecom services invoice.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, MS Excel and ServiceNow reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written, including the ability to present comfortably to management.
  • Strong work ethic and elevated level of integrity.
  • Proficient at building and maintaining relationships.
  • Preferred Skills Familiarity with Aaron’s business structure.
  • Experience with Lawson and ImageNow are a plus.
