Your Responsibilities

As a Territory Manager, you will work closely with the Construction and Forestry dealers and channel partner network within the assigned territory (BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba) to enable all aspects of the sales process. You will be the key relationship manager within the territory and will work in partnership with the dealers to drive increasing sales and grow Deere market share. In addition, you will:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with dealers and channel partners to support aligned business objectives
  • Liaise with other stakeholders to provide dealer/customer feedback (division sales/support, marketing, territory finance managers and product planning/development)
  • Research and stay up-to-date on market trends and customer needs/expectations to inform business recommendations
  • Assist dealers with inventory management and supporting programs, including managing program budget
  • Conduct analysis to determine key areas of opportunity or underperformance, develop business case to illustrate and implement plans for improvement

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and maintain trust with key stakeholders
  • Strong self-initiative and self-starting
  • Understanding of business, sales, and marketing practices
  • Knowledge of heavy machinery dealer business practices
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to use standard desktop tools and programs
  • Familiarity of equipment and equipment operations
  • Ability to travel (up to 50%) to meet business needs
  • Willingness to relocate

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Bilingual communication skills (English/French) an asset
  • Previous field experience
  • Hands-on experience working with, or in a dealer or channel partner
  • Sales/marketing/product support experience
  • Understanding of Construction & Forestry customer business and operational needs

Education (or equivalent work experience)

  • University degree (preferably in marketing, engineering, business or a related discipline) or equivalent experience
