About Us
Through leading innovations, we help farmers around the world meet the challenge of feeding a growing population and taking care of our planet. This is a Territory Sales Representative position for our South West Quebec District. In this role, you will develop overall territory and retailer account plans to achieve sales targets and collaborate with the Account Manager to develop and implement retailer business plans. You will also collaborate with NK Agronomists and Horticultural Specialists to deliver the retailer plan to growers as well as develop and implement local field marketing initiatives.
Ideal locations for this role within the South West Quebec district are St. Remi or Chateauguay.
Accountabilities
Develop Territory and Retailer Account Plans to achieve sales targets
Collaborate with team members and customer marketing to develop campaigns and retailer programs
Provide customer support through demonstration trials, field days and grower meetings
Support the integration of the Crop Protection and Seed marketing teams, including the definition of new processes/ways of working and fostering mindset change
Qualifications
Must be authorized to work for Syngenta in Canada without work authorization sponsorship
Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or Science and/or a Business Communication
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Ag industry, as well as a thorough understanding of both the commercial and research sides of the business * Must be bi-lingual (English and French)
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian and North American agricultural, seeds, seed-treating and crop protection businesses, distributors, partners and the regulations and policies that affect these markets with particular emphasis on Eastern Canada
Member of the Order of Quebec Agronomists (OAQ) is preferred
Understanding of financial analysis and general business issues and practices
Solid experience employing strategic influencing and negotiation skills
Strong understanding of marketing principles, marketing plan development and best practices
Travel requirements 20-30%
Must have a valid driver’s license
