Summary

Primary responsibility to operate trucks and deliver fertilizer and chemicals.

Ability to do a variety of task in succession, i.e., blending products together, loading a truck. May assist with record keeping related to warehouse/inventory responsibilities. Performs varied responsibilities such as: equipment and plant maintenance including welding, pump and engine overhauls, painting, and warehouse upkeep responsibilities; loading and delivering fertilizer and chemicals to customers; operating equipment to blend fertilizer; cleaning and storing equipment after application process; receiving and unloading product and performing warehouse inventory and storage functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Operates semis and delivers fertilizer to applicators and growers
• Loads and offloads trucks at the plant
• Able to run equipment such as loader and forklift
• Performs basic maintenance on trucks and equipment
• Performs daily vehicle inspections
• Handle and delivers bulk and packaged chemicals
• Cleans and maintains equipment

Typical Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Relevant Experience

• High School Diploma or demonstrated experience in vocational agricultural or a combination of education and work experience
• Valid Driver’s license
• Current CDL or the ability to acquire one within 60 days
• Applicable endorsements
• DOT-minimum of 21 years of age
• One year of experience in farm work preferred
• Mechanics skills or applicator skills are preferred

Required Certifications

Class A CDL Required with Tanker Endorsement
