The Team

The Finance team at Cymax Group is expanding due to the exponential growth of our ecommerce business. The company is 140+ team members strong who support our North American enterprise encompassing customer service, account management, software development, operations, and logistics. What You’ll Do:

In this new position reporting to the CFO, your mandate will be to drive organizational success through leadership of financial and related administration functions. You’ll be accountable for performance metrics tied to the financial strategy, analyze and report financial results, and ensure compliance practices protect the company’s interests. To accomplish this, you will:

  • Work with the Director FP&A to interpret near and long-term forecasts and integrity of the forecasting model.
  • Provide decision support on both on-going business issues and the development of new market opportunities.
  • Act as a value-added resource to the CFO and Executive team on matters related to fundraising, IR, tax and insurance questions, business structure, and growth.
  • Support the CFO in leading the company’s tax planning initiatives.
  • Lead development and operationalization of the internal audit function, in consultation with the senior management team and external auditors.
  • Guide the Development of the Finance Department in collaboration the Financial Special Projects Initiatives group, along with effective and efficient streamlining of business functions that intersect with Finance.

Who You Are:

  • Experience and Educated. You bring CA/CPA credentials and a university degree along with fifteen plus years’ experience in accounting/finance, including public company experience, supervising large teams.
  • Industry Knowledge: Ideally, you bring experience working in a technology company, including working in a hyper-growth phase of corporate development.
  • Strong Financial Background: You bring treasury experience including balance sheet strategy, capital management, funds transfer, pricing, cash flow forecasting and working capital management experience.
  • Technology Skilled: You’re effective in using state-of-the-art analysis tools to ensure timely, accurate, and insightful forecasts. Advantageous will be knowledge about payments, transfers and settlements, and how digital technologies are driving service offering this space.
  • Highly Communicative: You’ve demonstrated your ability to lead, influence and motivate in a team-oriented collaborative environment. You’ve created success by building talent and high-performing teams through mentoring and feedback, and providing professional development opportunities.
  • Best-practice sharing and continuous improvement: you ensure institutional learning and are able to convey technical information to non-finance professionals, speaking the language of business, not numbers.
