Applied Industrial Technologies is currently seeking and has an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of CSR – Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) at our Nisku, AB location. Company will provide Cargo Van for deliveries – to be kept at Applied’s site (not for personal use or to commute to/from work).

In this role, you will provide our customers with expert assistance to a wide variety of questions and problems while on site. Our ability to get customers’ business often depends on your ability to quickly and efficiently provide them with the right parts and/or solutions – especially when customers are experiencing costly equipment breakdowns.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Directly engaged in sales activities
  • Manage VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) on site and across multiple customers locations in the Nisku and Edmonton area
  • Coordinate packing and timely delivery of scheduled orders to the customer
  • Ensuring accurate order processing through the computerized order processing system
  • Build ongoing relationships with customers
  • Make continuous improvement recommendations for the VMI process
  • Build ongoing relationships with customers and demonstrate product benefits
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of the company’s service offerings
  • Other task as required

Preference will be given to candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory)/on-site Industrial or Fluid Power or Fluid Conveyance components sales experience
  • Drivers license with clean driving record
  • Parts Management experience would be an asset
  • SAP experience would be an asset
  • Interest in customer satisfaction and desire to provide excellent service always
  • Enthusiastic and exhibits a positive attitude and desire to succeed
  • Ability to multitask in a busy office environment while maintaining professionalism at all times
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Analytical and problem solving capability
  • Computer literacy with focus on Outlook, Word, Excel, etc

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced environment; work under pressure; attention to detail; driving, repetitive tasks; bending, crouching, kneeling. Able to lift and carry parts of up to 50 lbs in a safe manner
